The day started out really cold with roads that went from icy in spots to fairly deep snow. So tire choice was a critical decision. We opted for ice tires, which I believe was the best choice.

We had a great start to the day: at the end of leg one we were leading the rally by 18 seconds. Unfortunately, on stage 4 we lost all turbo boost. We had to limp through that stage and the next one, till we could get to service where they did a partial repair so we could continue. We were very late leaving service and received a fairly significant time penalty. Sadly, I still had problems with the car over-heating. Then on stage 10 we had an off which ended our rally. It started really well but had a sad ending.......
